Life on the Road
Karma Wi-FI Hotspot
Killer interface, easy to use and share, the Karma utilizes Sprint’s 4G LTE with fallback to CDMA (3G). The download speeds are 6-8Mbps with peaks up to 25Mbps with uploads around 2-3Mbps. With my Macbook Pro, I was able to have internet for most of I-10 and even in around Port Arthur. It’s not perfect, but you are on a road trip and not in an office and some untethering is necessary. Devices connected: Macbook Pro, Microsoft Surface Tablet and iPhone.
Starbucks Packs.
Since we subsisted on one decent meal a day, Starbucks Protein and Fruit/Cheese packs were our breakfast and lunch mainstays. Just like the Sprinter, we needed some fuel and these hit the spot.
Apple Music
Once we figured out where the USB jack was (on driver’s side dash cubby), we plugged in for some road tunes. I need this because a good soundtrack can get me focused on the road and staying in my lane.
Things we should’ve brought
